3 creative recipes with pizza dough

With a good pizza dough, you can make the most delicious pizzas, but you can do so much more with pizza dough. We went out for you and set up 3 creative ways to cook with pizza dough for you.

A tasty pizza starts with good pizza dough, so our recipes start with it too. 

Make your own pizza dough, or get a custom made dough ball from Monte Pizza Crust, for example, at the supermarket. This will help you get started with the recipes below.

Pizza margherita, but a little different

Actually, this recipe is very simple, but it’s so nice that we wanted to write it down for you. Roll out your dough into a square and line it in the middle with tomato paste, leaving a strip of dough on the left and right. Sprinkle the cheese over the tomato paste. If you want, you can also fill the pizza with other vegetables. Cut the remaining dough into strips, from the tomato paste to the ends. Fold these strips over the cheese and tomato paste and make a nice stain pattern. Spread the top with a bit of butter and bake the pizza as a normal pizza.

Garlic rolls

Divide your dough into balls that are about the same size as a golf ball. Roll out each piece of dough into long sausages and turn it into a button. Place the dough sausages on a baking tray (use baking paper). Chop about a handful of parsley and put it in a bowl. Peel 5 garlic cloves and squeeze them into a garlic press. Do the same with the parsley. Add 100 milliliters of olive oil and half a teaspoon of sea salt. Mix well. Brush the buttons and dough with the mixture and bake them for about 15 minutes in a preheated oven.

Hotdog Twister

This is the recipe for every party snack and this recipe may be even easier than the margherita we mentioned above. All you need is pizza dough, 12 hotdog sausages and one egg yolk. Divide the dough into 12 pieces, make small flat strips of them and wrap them around the sausages. Then spread the packets with the egg yolk and bake the rolls at about 190 degrees Celsius in about 15 to 20 minutes until they are nicely golden brown.
